This is a brand new, good quality replacement power supply which is 100% compatible with the Spectrum 16K, 48K & 48K+ models). It is a modern, efficient power supply rated at 2A 18W.
The original Sinclair 16K & 48K PSU's were rated at 1.4A, so this more efficient, 2A replacement power supply has plenty of spare "head room" for additional modern day, or original power demanding spectrum peripherals.
This PSU can also be used with the Spectrum 128 (toast rack) and Spectrum +2 (grey model), as its efficiency is higher than their original 2.1A power supply, but if you are using modern peripherals (DivIDE etc), you may want to look at our higher power 2.5A 22W model, available in our other listing specifically for the Spectrum 128 & +2 (grey model).
Can be used with our Sinclair ZX Spectrum in-line power switch (see our other listings).
Important:
This power supply is wired with the end plug "centre pin negative", so must not be used with any other device than the Spectrum models listed above.
Please note - it is not suitable for use with the Spectrum +2A, +2B or +3 models.
