These sockets got a lot of hammer on the Spectrum +3's when loading programs from cassettes and many are now broken.

These leads are not that easy to get hold of now and the "made up" versions tend to give a low quality or unreliable signal.

This lead is a 1.2M brand new, factory sealed lead and will give a clear and steady picture.

The Spectrum +3 was designed to load & save to its 3" disk drive, so leads to allow program loading from a cassette player can be hard to come by. These leads are brand new and allow the connection of a standard tape recorder to the "TAPE/SOUND" socket of the +3. Software can then be loaded from and saved to tape.

Use if you want to both load from and to save back to cassette.

When anyone buys a Spectrum +3 these days the most common fault is a non-working drive.
This is a complete service kit for the Spectrum +3 complete with new drive belt, head & drive motor capstan cleaning solution, capstan cleaning bud, chamois leather cleaning tool for the read/write head and full four page fully illustrated instruction manual.
All you need (except basic tools) to service the drive of your +3 and restore it to full working condition.  The manual is easy to read and understand with clear step by step photographs.

Can fix corrupted disks and files, unerase files deleted in error, format disks which cannot be formatted from +3 BASIC (No Data error on track o), edit files and much more.

Disk drive service and repair package for those who do not have the knowledge, confidence or desire to open up their disk drive. Simply remove the drive from your Spectrum +3 and post to me.

The cost of the service is £15.00 + the return postage (added at checkout) and includes full clean, repair, lubrication, belt replacement and testing. Turnaround time is usually within 5 days.
If the drive cannot be repaired, then the £15.00 service cost will be fully re-funded.

These 180K disk drives are now extremely rare and very difficult to source. Because of this I can only offer these drives at this price as a trade-in for your old non-working drive.  The replacement drive will be sent to you as soon as your old drive arrives.

Please note - your trade-in drive must be in good condition - I cannot accept drives which have been physically damaged, or had parts removed from them.  If your drive is damaged or incomplete it will be returned to you.
