Disk Drive Repair Service for the Amstrad Range of Computers using the 3" Drives
Disk drive service and repair package for those who do not have the knowledge, confidence or desire to open up their disk drive. Simply remove the drive from your Amstrad and post to me.The cost of the service is £9.50 + return postage (added at checkout) and includes full clean, repair, lubrication, belt replacement and testing. Turnaround time is usually within 5 days. If the drive cannot be repaired, then the £9.50 service cost will be fully re-funded. Fully restored, overhauled and serviced, the unit is in excellent condition and fully working. Comes complete with ribbon connector.Ideal way to add an extra drive to the 6128 or +3.
Please note thet the FD-1 unit will not work on its own with the Amstrad CPC 464 which requires a special DDI-1 interface.
This interface allows the Amstrad CPC 464 to use the excellent Amstrad FD-1 and DDI-1 external 3" disk drives giving much more reliable, fast and flexible data storage

These disks are genuine unused, "new - old stock" Maxell CF2 disks.Because of their age I have formatted them to test them and all are completely error free.
Formatted on a Spectrum +3, may need reformatting for other machines.

Please note that the cases whilst giving increased protection, also increase the postage costs (particularly overseas buyers). The weight is 690g, twice that of uncased disks.
