One of the most common faults on the old the Spectrum+ and Spectrum 128 machines are groups of non working keys. This problem is often caused by a worn keyboard membrane, damage to the bubble mat or a warped backing plate.
The keyboard layout of the Spectrum+ was quite complex and required a 5 - layer membrane activated by the bubble mat and supported by a backing plate to keep the whole assembly rigid for reliable operation.
These kits provide a complete keyboard restoration package for an old Spectrum+ and come complete with all three main components - keyboard bubble mat, membrane and backing plate.
All are genuine, brand new (old stock) Sinclair service parts
